Hey, Welcome! I’m Millie:)
In the Summer of 2017 I packed my backpack and set off on a solo world tour. I had something like 10 countries planned and not a lot of clue!
4 years later and I’m still travelling the world, on my own and on a very tight budget.
Its not been easy, I’ve had a lot of lows, maybe more than your average traveller, in fact I often consider myself the unluckiest traveller in the world, or perhaps I’m just looking for trouble… want to see why follow me to The Blog.
Embarking on this adventure I went chasing a life experienced to the fullest, the highs and the lows and everything in between, I was ready to feel and ready to learn and ready to be changed by it all.
And changed I have been. With each new passport stamp I learn more about myself, cultural diversity and the vast beautiful world in which we live.

Through this blog I hope to inspire you too to step out of your comfort zone and get your feet a little dirty. To travel like myself with open eyes, taking the longer and slower and tougher road, making room to notice beauty in the every day.
I invite you to join my adventure as I navigate my twenties and the globe.
So where am I now?
Currently in Bali, Indonesia
Okay so I first wrote that excerpt back in 2017 when naive, little Millie set off to prove to herself and the world she wanted more than the mundane confines of a life on the ‘train of the 21st century’. Now it’s been rewritten many times since then, as this wild ride of life has changed and forked more times than I can count. I even got rid of the almost cringe optimism at one point but I have to honour that version of myself because she was just as important as the person I am today.
So what’s changed since? Ha, what hasn’t? Life is a forever forking path and I’ve learnt through heartbreak, struggles with mental health, the inescapable reality of ageing, oh and a fricking global pandemic that whatever makes you happy will be in a constant state of change.
This nomadic traveller who once rejected all ideas of settling down and staying in one place for more than a hot minute has craved stability and a home away from home more times than one. So I wandered around the globe trying to find my purpose and place. From living on a boat in the Caribbean to the beaches of Costa Rica and even giving England a chance one too many times. Finally, my Gemini tendencies have subsided enough to let me choose and my new found desire for grounding has brought me to the island of the Gods. I now find myself more content than ever living in Bali, Indonesia.
